A student, who has taken admission into the programe of B.A with Education as Specific subject of study is expected to achieve the following outcomes:

BA in History

History is the study of the past, and the term history relates to the past events as well as memory, discovery, collection, organization, presentation and interpretation of information about these events. It is the discipline that studies the chronological record of events based on a critical examination of source materials and usually presenting an explanation of their causes.

The university offers three year B.A. programme comprising six semesters as one of the elective subjects in both pass and major (Honours) course.

History is the very lively field of study. The programme aims at acquainting the learners with various historical developments at regional, national and international levels. The programme has been so designed that the learners can pursue higher studies in history in future in any other university. The programme will also be beneficial to those aspiring for competitive examinations.
